Efeturi Ono Sorhue, Amb. Temisan O. Louis, Comr. Eguagie Slyvester, Ebobra Torubinghan. They all shared their success stories and strategies that made it possible. All speakers had similar lessons they dishes out:
• Learning to collaborate and avoid competition.
• Discover your passion and chase after it.
• Mentorship is a key to success.
• Improve on yourself always to be better than the person you were yesterday
We gave opportunities to Youths to showcase their idea. About four attendees did a showcase. Some won grant to start while others were placed under mentorship and follow up.
The rest attendees were also given an opportunity to choose a skill and they were assured by the convener, Amb. Dr. Young Piero of free training and a soft grant to start up when they are done with their training program.
The impact of this on society is huge because Youth are inspired, channelled to a trade and after completion of trade, they are empowered to start up a business which will make some of them employers of labor, thereby reducing the unemployment rate in the country. This will lead to socio-economic growth and human capital development.
