TANTITA PIPELINE SURVEILLANCE CONTRACT: A PROVEN NATIONAL ASSET THAT MUST NOT BE POLITICIZED OR TAMPERED WITH

(ATFW)The Association of Tantita Field Workers wishes to unequivocally affirm that Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited remains one of the most trustworthy and reliable security companies entrusted with safeguarding Nigeria’s critical oil and gas resources. Since its inception, Tantita has played a pivotal role in stabilizing the nation’s economy through its effective pipeline surveillance operations.

The pipeline surveillance contract is fundamentally designed to protect critical national oil infrastructure and promote peace across oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta. This strategic national assignment must not be politicized or manipulated for personal or sectional interests.

The Association expresses its full support and confidence in the leadership of High Chief (Dr) Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), acknowledging the remarkable impact he has made in securing national assets and fostering stability in the region.

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has recorded numerous measurable achievements across both riverine and urban communities, including:

1. Sustained peace and security across creeks in the Niger Delta.

2. Active engagement of critical stakeholders in security operations through subcontracting arrangements.

3. Employment opportunities for thousands of youths, significantly reducing unemployment in the region.

4. Empowerment of young and innovative entrepreneurs, both male and female, across the Niger Delta.

5. Environmental sanitation and restoration, improving livelihoods for fishermen and women.

6. Creation of a safer and more conducive environment for travelers, businesses, and economic activities.

These and many other commendable contributions continue to strengthen national security and economic resilience.

In light of the above, the Association of Tantita Field Workers respectfully urges the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to disregard calls for the decentralization of the pipeline surveillance contract. Such moves could undermine the progress already achieved.

We strongly appeal that the Federal Government sustains its trust and confidence in Tantita, given its proven track record of competence, reliability, and results.

The Association remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the protection of Nigeria’s oil and gas assets and ensuring lasting peace and development in the Niger Delta region.
