The Gbabo Dynasty of Gbaramatu Kingdom has celebrated a major academic milestone as their last daughter, Angel Edisemi Gbabo, successfully graduated with outstanding honours from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom.

Angel Edisemi Gbabo graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Nursing, earning First Class Honours and emerging as the overall best graduating student, a feat crowned with the prestigious Dean’s Prize for highest overall academic performance.

While speaking to Delta Event TV News on behalf of the Gbabo Dynasty, High Chief Amb. Dcn. Isaac Gbabo and his wife Comr. Dcns (Mrs.) Dora Gbabo expressed profound gratitude to God and pride in their daughter’s exceptional achievement, describing the honour as a reward for years of discipline, sacrifice, and academic excellence

The family noted that Angel’s achievement mirrors a strong academic legacy within the Gbabo household, recalling a similar distinction earned by her elder brother, Comrade Tarila T. Gbabo, who previously obtained a First Class degree in Law from the University of Coventry, United Kingdom.

According to the family, Angel’s success has not only brought honour to the Gbabo Dynasty but has also added to the prestige of the University of Huddersfield, reinforcing the global academic impact of Nigerian students abroad.
