The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has congratulated Chief (Dr.) Dennis Burutu Otuaro on his appointment


 The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has congratulated Chief (Dr.) Dennis Burutu Otuaro on his appointment as the Substantive Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

The Pan-Ijaw media organization expressed profound joy and optimism regarding Otuaro’s appointment, noting that with his leadership, the existing challenges within the PAP program would be swiftly be addressed, while simultaneously advancing the successes achieved by the past administrations.

In a statement issued by IPF’s national president Comrade Ozobo Austin through the office of the Secretary-General, Tare Magbei further seized the opportunity to extend gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for recognising the merit and competence of a Delta Ijaw for such a significant role.

The statement further held that this gesture not only highlights the commitment to inclusivity but also underscores the importance of subregional representation in national programs.

However, IPF emphasised the importance of collaboration and urged Dr. Otuaro to foster open communication and partnership with essential Niger Delta organizations and stakeholders such as the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, stating that such collaborations would facilitate greater efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery and ultimately benefiting the Niger Delta.

The statement said IPF remained committed to supporting his efforts and looks forward to witnessing positive transformations within the Presidential Amnesty Programme under his stewardship.

IPF further affirmed its readiness to contribute to the collective progress and development of the Niger Delta region.

The statement reads, “This is by far one of the most widely accepted and commended appointment President Bola Tinubu has made from the Niger Delta since taking over the affairs of our dear country.

“Your appointment comes at a time calls for the rejuvenation and re-evaluation of strategies for the Presidential Amnesty Programme have reached unprecedented heights.

“Your occupance of the lofty office is of course a testament to your fruitful antecedent as a contributor to the development and peaceful well-being of our region.

“In commemorating your upliftment, we urge you to exercise unrivalled expertise through the implementation of results-oriented strategies towards the anticipated success of the programme.

“I also, through this medium commend President Tinubu for sustaining the existing peace in the Niger Delta by not paying heed to the calls for the appointment of a non-Ijaw as PAP coordinator.

“The Presidential Amnesty Programme is an offshoot of the agitations for a developed Niger Delta led by Ijaws’ through blood and sweat.

“Once again, congratulations Dr. Dennis on your well deserved appointment. We are super convinced you will flourish while on this assignment”.
