• Over 200 Bibles Will Be Distributed

Following the perceived bad governance and poor economic policies in Niger Delta, a special spiritual deliverance prayer service has been proposed by the mothers of the region to deliver the governors of the Niger Delta region from misused of the region's resources.

The event tagged "Niger Delta Governors Spiritual Deliverance Service Day" is scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the Ijaw Monitoring Group, IMG Office in Lagos.

The service, facilitated by the National Coordinator of the Ijaw Monitoring Group, Comrade Joseph Evah is aimed to seek divine guidance and wisdom for the governors, including Senator Duoye Diri (Bayelsa State), RT Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta State), Umo Eno (Akwa-Ibom State), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo State), Bassey Otu (Cross River State), and Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers State).

It was gathered that Over 2,000 Bibles will be distributed during the service, which will feature prayers seeking economic wisdom and patriotic spirit for the governors. The event's organizers are inspired by the legacy of the region's founding governors, such as HRM Alfred Diete Spiff, Chief Udokobo Jacob Esuene, and Chief Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia, who drove development and industrialization in the region.

However, the Niger Delta region is currently facing numerous challenges, including economic hardship, insecurity, and environmental degradation. The event's organizers hope that the spiritual deliverance service will inspire the governors to take bold steps to address these challenges and restore the region's lost glory.

As stated in the event's advertorial, "A Mother's prayer is the solution to her children's predicament." The organizers believe that the prayers of the mothers will bring about a positive transformation in the region's leadership and ultimately lead to the development and prosperity of the Niger Delta region.
