IYC EDO, ONDO CLANS CHAIRMEN DISTANCE SELF FROM VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE PASSED ON THE ZONAL CHAIRMAN.

Chairmen of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) from Edo and Ondo States ( Apoi, Arogbo, Egbema, Furupagha, Gbaran, Okomu and Olodiama) which are part of the Western Zone has issued a Disclaimer as regards the vote of no confidence passed on the Chairman of the zone Comrade Nicholas Igarama by some clan chairmen under this auspices of Clan chairmen Forum.  

 Edo and Ondo clan Chairmen led by the secretary and Treasurer of the western zone clan chairmen forum distance themselves from the publication of the vote of no confidence passed on the zonal chairman.

The two states chairmen stated that they were betrayed by their colleagues from some clans in the Delta axis, in their words “we weren’t part of such plan to pass Vote of no confidence on the Zonal Chairman selfish interest and as such we entirely distanced ourselves from it. The chairmen forum held a meeting in Warri few days back but the resolution didn’t include fighting for vice chairman, we also noticed a lot of personal aggrandizement in the press Statements in circulation.

IYC is for the interest of Ijaw Nation and not for pety-party-entertainment.   

The unity of western zone shouldn't be negotiated for selfish interest at this critical moment, when the zone is about producing the next president of Council, he added.

This actions shows their interior motions against the zonal chairman because he is not from Delta state as claimed. We are not part of such unscrupulous act to divide the zone, but as we appealed earlier with our colleagues to come on a round table to settle whatever discrepancy between the chairmen forum and the zonal chairman for a better correlation remains our stand.
