THE VICE PRESIDENT OF EGBEMA YOUTH COUNCIL APPLAUDS IZON EBI ASSOCIATION OF WASHINGTON METRO DC AREA, USA, FOR DONATION OF FOUR-CLASSROOM BLOCK TO ABERE COMMUNITY
By Comrade Michael
The Vice President of the Egbema Youth Council, Comrade Michael Temeweikuro Desmond, has extended heartfelt commendation to the Izon Ebi Association of the Washington Metro DC Area, USA, an outstanding non-governmental organization, for its remarkable contribution to educational development in Abere Community, located in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The commendation follows the successful donation and commissioning of a block of four modern classrooms, a project fully sponsored by the Izon Ebi Association and formally commissioned today, 25th November 2025, by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Edo State, Dr. Paddy Emmanuel Iyamu, who was ably represented by the Chief Inspector of Education, Ovia South West LGA, Iguobazuwa, Mrs. Juliet Otoide.
*Special Appreciation to Dr. Moses Yomi*
I wish to especially appreciate Dr. Moses Yomi, whose commitment, passion, and philanthropic spirit played a pivotal role in bringing this monumental development to Abere Community. His tireless efforts, dedication to humanitarian service, and love for the upliftment of rural communities reflect a rare and commendable leadership.
May God bless him richly, strengthen his hands, enlarge his coast, and continue to use him as an instrument of light and progress wherever he goes. His name shall remain indelible in the hearts of our people for this act of generosity and compassion.
*The Importance of Education to Community Growth*
Education remains the strongest pillar for sustainable development in any society. For a rural community like Abere, access to conducive learning facilities is not merely a luxury—it is a lifeline. Quality educational infrastructure:
* Empowers children with the knowledge and skills they need to build a better future.
* Reduces youth restiveness, unemployment, and social vices by opening doors to new opportunities.
* Promotes community development, as educated citizens often contribute positively to local governance, entrepreneurship, and social upliftment.
* Attracts further government and private-sector support, thereby accelerating growth in the locality.
With this new block of classrooms, the future of Abere Community shines brighter, and generations of children will benefit from the seeds sown today.
Appreciation to All Contributors
I extend sincere gratitude to every individual, group, and stakeholder who contributed directly or indirectly to the success of this noble project. Your collective efforts reflect unity, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of our people.
On behalf of the Egbema Youth Council, I reaffirm our commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, youth empowerment, and community development. The commissioning of this project stands as a powerful reminder that when people come together with a shared vision, transformation becomes inevitable.
May this gesture inspire more organizations, individuals, and government bodies to invest in our communities. Let us continue to work hand in hand to build a future where every child, regardless of origin, has access to the education they deserve.
Long Live Egbema Youth Council
