ALLIANCE MOVEMENT ADOPTS GOVERNOR SHERIFF OBOREVWORI FOR 2027

Effurun, Delta State — The Alliance Movement has formally adopted Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, as its preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
The decision was reached during a crucial meeting of the movement held at Cyprian Hotel, Effurun, where members unanimously resolved to support the governor’s re-election bid based on his performance in office.
According to the group, Governor Oborevwori’s developmental strides within the period under review have exceeded public expectations, citing the execution of several landmark infrastructure projects, people-oriented empowerment programmes across the state, and his inclusive approach to governance.
The Alliance Movement further described the governor as a sincere, humble, and visionary leader whose leadership charisma has ensured that all segments of the state benefit from the dividends of democracy.

Speaking at the meeting, the Coordinator of the Alliance Movement, Apostle Okiemute Itoje, commended Governor Oborevwori for his commitment to good governance and pledged that the movement would mobilise Deltans across the state in support of the administration’s Renewed Hope and More Agenda ahead of the 2027 election.
Also speaking, the Matron of the group, Hon. Amb. Obukome Ibru-Umukoro, charged members to remain focused and consistent in their mobilisation efforts. She applauded the Alliance Movement for adopting the governor and encouraged them to sustain their unity and dedication.
The Alliance Movement reaffirmed its resolve to continue engaging stakeholders and grassroots supporters to ensure sustained development and political stability in Delta State.
